Update log
- 2026-11-02 — Four-country dataset. United States: CPI-U history 1913–September 2026, cross-checked month-by-month against the BLS Public API (most recent decade, exact match); October 2025 was not published by BLS (federal shutdown) and is shown as a gap, never interpolated. Canada: Statistics Canada table 18-10-0004-01, 1914–2026, with computed annual rates for 2021–2024 matching the officially published rates exactly (3.4%, 6.8%, 3.9%, 2.4%). Australia: ABS quarterly CPI 1948–2025 linked to the monthly CPI (from April 2024) at the published overlap — the two are the same index on different reference bases (link factor 1.44006). United Kingdom: ONS CPI/CPIH from 1988 and RPI index (CHAW) from 1987; an earlier draft of this site's research had misidentified series CZBH as the RPI index — it is in fact the RPI percentage change — and the index series was corrected before launch.
